Barátok és Család

My two words for this post are Barátok and Család.

Barátok means friends, and on this exchange you will gain new friends and lose old ones. But, think of it this way, in america, this is the time everzone goes off to college. When your done with high school, you almost NEVER see your highschool friends, or even girlfriend/boyfriends. This is because everyone goes their seperate ways and gets on with their lives, most kids think that the friends they make now will be the only ones they ever had or will make. But, the truth is that we make friends everywhere we go, and when we are in one place, thats where the majority of our friends will be. So never worry about losing friends because you will ALWAYS make more. But, I'm still not saying you will never see your friends again, you will see them on occasion, and who knows? They might be coming to a place near you! This is what I think about leaving my friends to go on exchange. I will keep in touch with them, but I understand that's friends come and go. Besides, I am already making a good amount of new ones! I will only mention some, but I love ALL my new friends. Matthew Clarke is my AWESOME very hyper ausie friend who is joining me in Hungary in January, this kid is wicked funny and I'm excited to go out on the town with this kid. Taylor Rac..... I'm just going to refer to her as Taylor. Taylor is this sweet innocent girl.... actually not at all. She surprises me on all levels and I can't wait to PARTY IT UP! Nicole aka Nicky is my californian friend. She is a warm welcome to see in this world, she, like me has never had a drink i her life! I'm so proud of her! She's great haha! Qaren with a Q is my mexican friend obsessed with anything asian! It's great though, I am too! LOVE ninja warrior! Paty, the mexican beauty, is this girl who gets graced with hungarian classes.... HOW LUCKY is she? And there is that girl Ulle.... I don't know about her :/ she seems kind of shady.... NAH, I'm just kidding! Ulle is this AMAZING brazilian girl I have come to know, and meeting someone like her is the kind of thing that makes you realise that all this work your did was worth it.

Család is family in hungarian and I have heard a lot from fellow exchangers about how much they will miss them, namely Nicole. But, the way I think about it, family is different from friend. My father always tells me "Remember son, friends come and go, but family is forever." I think this is very true, your family will always be with you, no matter where you go or what happens. So when I leave for Hungary, I do not think of it as LEAVING my family. For your family is always there, no matter what :). So be glad not sad to leave, hey I'm going to freaking Hungary for god sakes! What's so sad about that?

Now with that said, peace out and have a great night!

BTW: comments are welcome, and if you are reading this and do not have an account for blogger or blogspot or what ever you call it. Please make one now, and FOLLOW ME! Especially you Ulle, what the hell is wordpress anyway? :)

  1. You really should be the last on earth to worry about losing friends, there's no way someone could not be your friend, you're just as amazing as you seem to be, even more ;D

So, I'm the first one to write a comment here =)Since you already explained to me why I was the LAST one to be mentioned... =P just came to say that your blog is amazing, and will be even more great when you start telling all our adventures in hungary! But be careful with what you write... hahaha, just kidding.

Anyway, keep on writing, and don't forget our list! See you =)
